As a first time participant the course was insigthful and provided me the opportunity to explore tool such as Miro and Kumu in understanding complex challenges. The breakout sessions give participants time to think critically and be motre practically in addressing issues.

This 10-hour course was a great use of my limited time as ED. I gained deeper understanding of an important aspect of fundraising and practical tools which I can implement immediately. Great course!

“Attitude of Gratitude – Utilizing Strategic Stewardship to Raise More Money" was an insightful and practical training experience. It reinforced how intentional stewardship (and genuine gratitude) can significantly strengthen relationships with supporters and ultimately lead to more effective fundraising.

Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the NPB training program. It has been an enriching and practical learning experience for me. The fundraising session was particularly impactful, as it provided useful skills and strategies that can strengthen the work of Movement for Community Led Development (MCLD) in mobilizing resources and sustaining community-driven initiatives.

As a refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo living in Dzaleka Refugee Camp, this training has also been very meaningful on a personal level. It has equipped me with knowledge and confidence to support other refugee-led organizations within the camp. I am now better prepared to help these organizations improve their fundraising approaches, access funding opportunities, and enhance the impact of their work in the community.

I believe the skills gained from this program will create positive change, not only for MCLD but also for many refugee organizations in Dzaleka. I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to applying what I have learned to support and uplift others.

The sessions were excellently paced. I felt well prepared for each session and knew what to expect. I enjoyed the breakout rooms and also the discussions during the session. Somehow, the content was all covered, but we also had very valuable and in-depth participant discussions with all questions answered by Rose.

The content itself was very practical and straightforward, easy to apply during the course in real life - highly recommend!

The sessions had just the right amount of content to take in while then reflecting in groups so that the concepts really sunk in. Very effective to reflect on strategic leadership and right away apply it to my everyday NGO work.

The strategic leadership course shifted my focus from individual performance to cultivating a collective leadership ecosystem. The most valuable aspect was the five seats of power framework, which provided a practical diagnostic for understanding how others experience my leadership style. It also helped me identify the shadow sides that can lead to dysfunction. The concept of closing doors to unlock heroic potential was particularly powerful, enabling me to better leverage the unique strengths of my entire team.

The Strategic Leadership course gave me the space to pause amid the intensity of day-to-day work. It allowed me not only to reflect on myself, but also to step back and look more intentionally at my team and organisation. It helped me think more clearly about where we are heading given the many opportunities in front of us today, and to recognise that in order to be truly strategic, we need to be more deliberate, including having the discipline to close some doors so we can focus on the ones that matter most.

It is a technical course approached in an embracing, meaningful and guiding manner. For sure I have better notion of my potential as a leader, and how to put it for good use in my organization. My best wishes, and thank you, so much!
