Michelle Stein is a fundraising consultant and trainer specialising in high-value fundraising from major donors, corporates and trusts & foundations. Her experience spans international development, faith and arts & culture organisations in the UK and South Africa including The British Museum, Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa and WaterAid. She has trained fundraisers across the globe including as a trainer for the UK based Get Grants and the US CharityHowTo. Her speaking engagements include the CIOF Convention, Resource Alliance’s IFC, Fundraising Everywhere and Culture Business.

 


Here's what I provide for clients: 

 

- Training 

I offer Skill Sprint training – 90 minute action focused training on a single topic. Topics include: AI for Fundraisers, LinkedIn for Fundraisers, How to Hold Meetings that Secure Big Gifts, Writing that Wows, Creating Stewardship Plans that Bring in Repeat Donations. 

I can also create bespoke training for staff and board members.


-Coaching 

I can meet regularly to provide advice, guidance and accountability. Clients then receive a task list to complete in their own time.

 

-Done For You Services

I can do the work for clients, getting input and meeting regulalry to assess priorities.

Coaching and Done for You Services cover the following areas:  

 

1. Prospect Identification

Identify new funding sources, network map board member contacts and prioritise donor lists.

2. Craft Messaging 

Clarify organisational messaging, package up project work for a donor audience, write project proposals and review existing donor materials.

3. Strategy

Develop a fundraising strategy, advise on existing approaches.

4. Donor cultivation and stewardship 

Assess current engagement, guide on next steps, address barriers to engagement, provide stewardship.
