Real Stories, Real Experiences

Nonprofit Builder has been an invaluable partner to our work at Clarity. Their international perspective not only opens doors for collaboration but, more importantly, creates opportunities for learning and connection across the globe. By exploring how NGO practices differ—and where they align—across cultures and governance systems, we gain deeper insights that strengthen our approach. This knowledge allows us to challenge conventional practices and bring fresh, globally informed perspectives to every client we serve, no matter their location.

The last three years with Nonprofit Builder have been extremely enlightening and fulfilling. I have had the privilege of meeting, training and supporting nonprofit organisations from across six continents. I have met some of the most driven, dedicated and visionary social impact leaders from around the world. But most of all, I have met and worked with some of the kindest, funniest and brilliant specialised consultants who are not only partners in transformative support for social impact leaders, but also friends from around the world. It is not every day that you find yourself in a space that allows you to have the best of both worlds

I have been working with NPB team for just under 2 years and my experience with the team has been incredible. The team is professional, transparent, objective, responsive and reliable; indeed, its a tremendous team. Working with NPB has helped me to grow, deepen, and expand my M&E experience including learning new programming areas and also expanded networking and collaboration with upcoming CBOs implementing exciting and innovative projects in Southern Africa. Thank you NPB team and continue to play such a tremendous contribution in the development sector

I truly love working with NPB for many reasons. First, the trust and confidence you place in me, combined with the spirit of collaboration, makes every engagement meaningful. Second, the diversity of the projects keeps my work both exciting and enriching. Third, nothing compares to the joy of seeing organizations I’ve supported grow and thrive as a result of our joint efforts.

Beyond this, I also deeply value how NPB creates a supportive community of practice, where consultants can learn from one another and feel part of a larger mission. The professionalism, clarity, and purpose that NPB brings to every partnership makes it a rewarding experience to be part of this network

Collaborating with NPB means I get to play on different stages: large-scale trainings where hundreds discover how to use AI, and focused consulting mandates with organizations shaping change globally or on the ground. The richness comes from weaving these experiences together, and NPB creates the space where that can happen.

Working with NPB has opened doors, built partnerships and sharpened my practice. They create a space where consultants do not just deliver assignments, but also grow in confidence and fellowship. The support feels professional yet personal, like being part of a family walking a shared journey of change.

NPB has connected me with ambitious organizations in Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Senegal, DRC and Kenya where I’ve been able to serve as both a mentor and a strategist. This collaboration has allowed me to provide guidance, deliver practical solutions, and create lasting impact for grantees while strengthening my own practice.

I’ve really enjoyed collaborating with NPB—the process has been smooth, supportive, and motivating. Being part of this network has allowed me to grow my practice and build meaningful connections while delivering results

I truly appreciate being part of the NPB's community. The platform has connected us with a diverse range of impactful organizations deeply committed to social and environmental change. Beyond generating opportunities, it has allowed us to contribute our skills to missions that we truly believe in.

What I appreciate most about collaborating with NPB is seeing the direct impact when the NPO director or programme manager applies best fundraising practices. It's exhilarating to watch a nonprofit leader grow their donor income and their organisation’s sustainability. The lovely team at NPB fosters a wonderfully collaborative community, and I am personally grateful for the continuous learning opportunities.

Working with clients through the NPB platform is a great experience as it allows me and the client to focus on work to do together from the first meeting. The platform also helps to be specific about the purpose and sharp about the outcomes, and helps me and the client to lok at the outcomes as the result of a joint effort. And, significantly, the NPB team is super responsive and really helpful in adjusting timelines and reporting as things change during implementation. The NPB team clearly has the user in focus and helps bring concrete change. The concept is right, the tools are right and the people are great!

The flexibility with the project timeline was greatly appreciated and allowed for consideration of real work pressures that the grantee faced at certain times. This flexibility made it possible for the grantee to ensure that the safeguarding policy they developed was tailored to their work context and thus fully applicable, and not just a copy/paste which would then be shelved.
